p. 260. “(Herdman/IFR) A house of 1840, rebuilt 1883 in the half-timbered style by E.T. Herdman; the architect being his brother-in-law, William Unsworth, of Petersfield, Hants. Various buildings in the “model village” of Sion Mills, where the family flax spinning mill is situated, are in the same style. Sion House was sold 1966.”
