p. 245. “A house built 1624 by John Ronayne, altered and refaced C18 or later. Front with many windows and pilastered doorcase. Low ceilinged downstairs rooms, thick walls; good staricase at one end of the house. Drawing room occupying he whole centre of the house on 1st floor, which must have been the original hall or great champber, having a large early C17 stone fireplace carved with coat-of-arms, the monogram of Christ and an inscription recording that the house was built by John Ronayne in 1624. In early C19, Ronayne’s Court was the residence of Charles Evanson; in recent years, of Lt-Col John Lucy.”
