Five bay entrance front, one bay central breakfront with fanlighted doorway beneath single-storey Doric portico. Roof parapet of thin latticework; entablatures on console brackets over ground floor windows. Bow at end. Earlier wing at back.  Built by J.J. Bodkin, MP, whose grandson was Fr William Bodkin, SJ, Rector of Stonyhurst and Beaumont Colleges and Provincial of the Society of Jesus.”
