p. 228. “(De Courcy, Kingsale, B/PB) A house with a pediment and a balustraded roof crowned with a spire, built towards the end of the C17 by 23^rd Lord Kingsale near the old castle of his family on the Old Head of Kinsale; a site as windswept as that of Loftus Hall, Co Wexford. The house was abandoned by the family after the death of 24^th Baron 1759; it has long disappeared, though there is a ruin on the Old Hill which may possibly be a remnant of it.”
