p. 97. “(Kennedy;LGI1958) Originally a large plain house with a central bow and a battlemented parapet. Towards the end of the C19, or in the opening years of C20, Robert Kennedy, a diplomat who eventually became Minister to Uruguay, replaced the house with a long two storey mansion built of rubble and ashlar facings, which his named Cultra Manor. Front with projecting pediment ends, joined by balustraded Ionic colonnade; the right-hand section of it breaking forwards, as a porch. Balustraded roof parapet. Long two storey service wing, joined to main block by lower link.”
